When you’re afraid to ask for help, when you’re on the edge and no gets it because you’re just too tired to explain. The best thing to do….is to make sure someone else doesn’t feel that way.Pick someone, anyone, whether they’re sad or not, whether you’re friends with them or not, even if you have no idea who they are. Pick just one person, only one at a time, or it’s meaningless. Tell them things. Get to know them, become friends with them, make them smile, make them laugh, just make them feel damn good about themselves. Make them happy, even just for a moment.
If you’re on tumblr, send them anons, or do it off anon if you want(some people find it more meaningful on anon, some people prefer off.) If you’re on facebook, message them, post on their wall, get a bunch of people to post on their wall! If you’re on witter, tweet them! Or just walk around in the street and go up to random people.
Make someone else feel better, it might help that sadness, that emptiness you feel inside of you, the wounds that refuse to heal. And even if it doesn’t, you have the knowledge that someone else doesn’t have to feel like you do. People don’t believe that doing such simple things has great rewards, but it does, doing things like that, you may not notice it, but afterwards, you do feel better. It’s a natural reaction. Why? Because knowing you made someone smile, knowing you made them happy, you did….it makes you feel important, wanted, needed even. And that’s not a feeling you can easily get, you have to work for it.
Just spread a little love, it goes a long way.
